I love the faded feel of your photography, it gives it personality, a story and the sense of age, as if you've really experienced a lot over the years. I don't doubt you have, which is another amazing aspect of your work, it really contains you in it. I believe everyone should try to do that once in a while, put their life in their work like that.

This looks like a zombie pen, Sammy.

It's always cool to capture places that are unfamiliar to you, yet there is so much character by their appearance. Love how it's blurred on the bottom because of the car moving, yet a fast enough shutter speed to capture the barn. The bird in the desolate sky adds too!

i guess places like this exist all over the country in the US... but for us europeans... we only see places like that in the movies.. thats why we think its so cool. at least i do... it would be suuuuuuuch a cooooooooool location for a shooting.... or a interesting place itself...

I think you can make any place interesting, though some are more obviously intriguing. It depends on where and how hard you look, mostly. There is not that much difference between continents, countries, cities either - it's the artist that makes it fascinating.
Though I do agree that it's an enchanting (and well captured) place. The light could not be more perfect.

It's funny how that works. Like the place you did that recent shoot of yours, with the ruins of that monastery. To Americans those places only exist in the movies. We have nothing so remarkably old as you'd find in Europe. The oldest buildings in my town at home were built in the 1870s, and almost all others were built in the last fifty or sixty years ago.

Places like in this photo, they're everywhere, they color the land and give it it's energy and feeling. If you come I'll show you around here and you can see for yourself. :)

Wow, thank you so very much, what a sweet thing to say.

 thank you thank you, I think there is a lot of me in the work. I wonder sometimes if I exist anywhere else....
